I must say, Nokia’s phones these days tend to look minimalistic in order to keep up with the times, and looks can be rather deceiving at times since most of their handsets in the entry level and mid-range tend to look far better than they perform in terms of hardware specifications. The Nokia X2-05 that comes in a candy bar form factor will place more emphasis on music and media, where it handles MP3 and MP4 files, boasting a loudspeaker that operates at 106 phons – which ought to be loud enough to keep an entire room entertained.

Other hardware specifications include an FM radio with a recording facility, a VGA camera at the back, a 2.2″ QVGA display at 320 x 240 resolution, a microSD memory card slot to further increase the amount of music and movies that you want to tore around, and GSM Dual Band 900/1800 support. You will be able to select from black, silver, white and bright red colors, where the Nokia X2-05 is tipped to ship sometime in the fourth quarter for around 46 Euros. [Press Release]
