Apple did seed a brand new build of Safari – version 5.1.2 beta, to developers very recently, where this particular version will also make sure that you will no longer experience any issues with embedded PDF viewing as well as running into printing problems which plagued the previous versions of the Safari browser. Too bad everything is not all peaches and cream with the Safari 5.1.2 beta, since it will also bring along with it a “known bug” which is said to cause extensions to crash.

Apple did request testers in their release notes to focus the sum of their efforts on ensuring that the printing works just fine, through the printing of embedded PDFs or just standard web pages. Here is another silver lining in the small cloud, there used to be a bug that prevented in-line PDFs from being viewed – and it is but a distant memory now. Are you part of Apple’s developer program? If you answered in the affirmative, then you can download Safari 5.1.2, where it is out for OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard and higher, in addition to Windows XP SP3.
