Kik Messenger SymbianGood news for Symbian phone users who are feeling left out of the Kik messenger community. Today, Kik Interactive announced that its Kik Messenger service is now ready to roll out on Symbian devices. The app/service has been in beta testing for quite a while now and it looks like it is now ready for prime time for Nokia phones.

In case you didn’t know, Kik Messenger is a free messaging service that works similar to WhatsApp and the like – allowing smartphone users to send messages to other Kik Messenger users via data instead of using their monthly messaging limit. And let’s not forget – it’s a real cost saver when it comes to texting people out of the country as well. Kik Messenger is currently available for iOS, Android, BlackBerry and Windows Phone 7; and now we can add Symbian to the lineup.

Kik Messenger is available free from the Nokia Store or the Kik website. How many of you use Kik Messenger, and why do you prefer it over other similar services?
