iTunes logoHeads up folks, if the rumors are to be believed, it looks like Apple could be giving the iTunes Store a redesign which will be the first time in three years since it has last seen a makeover. The plans to revamp iTunes has been revealed to several record labels and entertainment companies which we guess is only natural, but while the exact details of the redesign remains somewhat of a mystery for now, what 9to5 Mac has learnt is that a redesign for the Mac/Windows version of iTunes is a “top priority”.

According to the report, the goal for the new iTunes is to make it more interactive, simpler, use-friendly and more efficient in terms of how users locate new content and making it a more engaging experience, with music, movies, TV shows and the App Store being the main focus. No word if Apple will be relaunching the iTunes Store alongside a brand new version of the iTunes application, or if it will come in the form of a minor update. iTunes users out there, what do you think? Could the current version of the iTunes Store do with a redesign, or are you pretty happy with the way things are?
