Xfinity appReady for a whole bunch of new TV content on your Xbox 360? We’ve got some good news for you. Aaron Greenberg, Chief of Staff for Interactive Entertainment Business at Microsoft, announced in a Tweet that the Xbox 360 will be getting new apps from Comcast, HBO and Major League Baseball. Most of the apps should be familiar to those of you who have seen them on other platforms, and all three of them will feature significant Kinect integration (voice and gesture controls).

It really looks like the Xbox 360 is poised to take over the set top box role in living rooms as opposed to a gaming console. Then again, it still is the best-selling console in the US, so whatever Microsoft is doing, I guess it’s working out pretty well. The apps should be available for download on the Xbox Live marketplace later today.
