HTC One X unboxed

The HTC One X goes on sale next week in Asia, but it looks like some folks have already managed to get their hands on the phone. Some folks recently got a demo unit of the HTC One X, unboxed it, and ran some tests on the phone. So far they seem pretty impressed, which should be good news – after all, it’s going to be HTC’s new flagship device; a first impression of anything that isn’t positive would be pretty devastating.

HTC: High Tech Computer Corporation (HTC) is a Taiwanese manufacturer of smartphones and tablets. The company started as an ODM (Original Design Manufacturer) that was building devices for others, but went on making HTC-branded smartphones based mostly on Microsoft's Windows operating system (OS) for mobile. In 2009, it began to shift its core focus away from Windows mobile devices to Android-based ones. In 2010 the company went back to the Windows Phone eco-system.

HTC One X: The HTC One X is the leading phone of the HTC One Series which was launched at Mobile World Congress 2012 in Barcelona. It was demonstrated with an NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor, but most of the variants for U.S 4G LTE networks will use a dual-core chip from Qualcomm.
