Over at the SXSW last weekend, Instagram’s co-founder, Kevin Systrom announced that the Android version of Instagram is nearly here. The app was shown off briefly on stage as it wasn’t ready for a full demonstration yet – however it is said to be in its private beta testing stages and will be released “very soon”. For those of you who are tired of the long wait, Systrom promises that it’s going to be worth it. He was quoted as saying, “In some ways, it’s better than our iOS app. It’s crazy”.
Hopefully we’ll get to see the app in the Google Play Store by the end of the month, then Android users will finally be able to join the 27 million iOS users in the Instagram community. Anybody looking forward to the app’s arrival?
