We do have this gut feeling that Windows 8 might just change the way we view the operating system, considering how it seems to work seamlessly across numerous platforms without missing a beat. Since we humans love options and choices (which explains the ever expanding menus at fast food joints over the years), Microsoft has decided to take advantage of this mental makeup of homo sapiens and increase the number of Windows versions with each release. What about Windows 8, you ask? Will things get more simplified? Unfortunately, the answer is no. The Windows 8 beta registry points towards all current versions of the operating system via its keys, where we ought to be receiving Windows 8 Starter, Windows 8 Home Basic, Windows 8 Home Premium, Windows 8 Professional, Windows 8 Professional Plus, Windows 8 Enterprise, Windows 8 Enterprise Eval, Windows 8 Ultimate and Windows 8 ARM edition in the near future. This does not seem to be a final list yet though, so we do hope to keep abreast with the latest developments.
