Those of you who have played Halo: Combat Evolved on the PC are probably familiar with the popular multiplayer map dubbed Infinity. It looks like Microsoft could have additional plans for that particular map as the company has recently registered a bunch of domain names with the words “Halo Infinity” in them. While not specifically registered to Microsoft, they were registered by MarkMonitor who lists Microsoft as one of their more high-profile clients, and with Microsoft.com registered through MarkMonitor, it is safe to assume that these “Halo Infinity” domains were registered on behalf of the Redmond company.

The domain names includes HaloInfinity.net, HaloInfinityMultiplayer.com, HaloInfinity.org, HaloInfinity.co.uk, HaloInfinity.mobi, HaloInfinity.de, HaloInfinityMultiplayer.net, HaloInfinityMultiplayer.org, HaloInfinityMultiplayer.co.uk, HaloInfinityMultiplayer.mobi and HaloInfinityMultiplayer.de. With so many domains registered, we have a feeling that Microsoft definitely has something planned. Until then, do check back with us in the future for additional updates. In a bit of humor, it was discovered that the HaloInfinity.com domain is for a Japanese site that offers advise to Japanese men who are experiencing balding. Interesting.
