Yesterday we reported that according to the Korea Herald, it was suggested that LG would be taking a step back from putting out Windows Phone devices and will instead focus their efforts on Android. Granted that the company only has the Optimus 7 and the Quantum as part of their Windows Phone lineup, it wasn’t a stretch of the imagination to think that they might have lost interest. That is apparently not the case according to LG. In a statement released to the folks at Pocket-lint, LG was quoted as saying that the company was still on board with Windows Phone, and that Korea Herald was just showing its “speculative side again.”

“None of it is true. Korea Herald is showing its speculative side again […] We are still on board with Windows Phone, but right now, we’re focusing on Android because that’s where the demand is.”

While we certainly welcome the prospect of having more Windows Phone handsets to choose from, considering that we haven’t really heard anything from LG in terms of Windows Phone releases for quite a while, we have to wonder when is the next time we will be seeing another LG Windows Phone device.
