If you’ve always envied phones that had the ability to snap 3D panoramic shots, well fret not because if you’re using a Windows Phone handset, Microsoft has officially announced that its Photosynth app is now available and free for download! For those unfamiliar, Photosynth is an app designed with Microsoft’s technology that allows photographers to create 3D panoramas from individual 2D shots. Much like a panorama app or photos, users will have to snap individual photos of a particular scene that they would like to convert into a panoramic form. The Photosynth app will then help users to stitch it together and create a 3D panoramic image, and similar to apps like Instagram with integrated social features, Photosynth has a website of its own where users will be able to upload their panoramic photos to and share it with the rest of the community. Like we said earlier, the Photosynth app is free of charge so if you have a Windows Phone handset, head on over to the Marketplace for the download.
