To celebrate the 25th anniversary of its Xbox division, Microsoft has announced a special promotion for Windows 11 PC buyers. Starting in November, customers who purchase eligible hardware (like the new Surface Laptop Ultra) from participating U.S. retailers between November 2 and December 31, 2026, will be able to redeem a generous bundle of 25 free games. At present, the promotion is restricted exclusively to users within the United States.

Redemption will be handled directly through the Microsoft Store application on the new device, permanently linking the titles to the user’s account for access across any compatible PC. The final deadline to claim the bundle is February 12, 2027. While the full list of titles remains under wraps, several major franchises have already been confirmed for the collection, including The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition, Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition, Minecraft Dungeons, and Gears of War: Reloaded. Thanks to the Xbox Play Anywhere program, many of these games will also be playable on Xbox Series X and S consoles at no extra cost.

Alongside the bundle announcement, the tech giant highlighted several technical advancements designed to improve the Windows gaming experience, such as Advanced Shader Delivery to reduce loading times and the dedicated Xbox Mode.
