Nokia has confirmed that they will not rest on their laurels with the Nokia 808 PureView smartphone which boasts of a 41-megapixel camera embedded within, making it the highest resolution smartphone camera to date. Well, according to Nokia’s Head of Product Marketing, Vesa Jutila, the Finnish phone manufacturing company is working hard to deliver more of such similar handsets down the road. Obviously, this would mean the future PureView range will have an internal digital camera that would make your standard issue consumer shooter pale in comparison where the megapixel count is concerned, although megapixels are not everything in the digital camera arms race. Other hardware specifications include quality Carl Zeiss optics, and the upcoming models are also said to feature a slimmer form factor. That would mean sacrificing the megapixel count, but what’s a few megapixels’ difference between friends, right?
