While Nokia has been busy pumping out smartphones lately, the company has yet to put out a tablet device that could possibly see itself as a competitor against the onslaught of iPads and Android tablets flooding the market, but all of that is expected to change. In an interview with the Financial Times (will require paid access to view), Nokia’s Chairman Jorma Ollila is expected to launch a series of tablets and hybrid smart mobile devices that are expected to “make a difference”. We’re not sure what kind of hybrids he was referring to, maybe something similar to the Samsung Galaxy Note or the ASUS Padfone, perhaps? In any case no word on the specs or a possible release date were mentioned but it should be something worth looking forward to. Until then be sure to stay tuned and check back with us at a later date for more updates!
