Remember back in April when Samsung outed devices in the US that would get the highly-anticipated Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update? While AT&T, Sprint and Verizon had their devices listed, many were wondering what happened to T-Mobile? After all it’s not like T-Mobile didn’t have high-end Samsung Android handsets. All Samsung had to say at that time was, “We are in close communication with T-Mobile to ensure that eligible devices are upgraded to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich in the coming months and will provide updates as we have additional details to share.”

Well the good news is that after several weeks, Samsung finally announced which of their devices on T-Mobile’s network would be getting the Android 4.0 update. This includes the Samsung Galaxy S2 (SGH-T989), the Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G (SGH-T769), the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus (SGH-T869) and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 (SGH-T859). Unfortunately no word on when the update will begin rolling out to the above mentioned devices, but if you own any of the devices listed, you can at least take some comfort in the knowledge that you will get the Android 4.0 update – eventually.
