The Samsung Galaxy S3 will come with just 1GB RAM, right? Not quite if you are in Japan, as the Samsung Galaxy S3 that is headed towards the Land of the Rising Sun will have double the amount, which ought to send a smile to your face if you are in line to pick up the Galaxy S3 when it hits the market. Could it be a typo? Probably not, as a company as large as Samsung would probably not make such a sophomoric mistake on their website, citing 2GB RAM for the Japan-bound Samsung Galaxy S3. It does boggle the mind though, what is it on the Galaxy S3 in Japan that requires and extra gig of RAM? Hopefully this specification can be transformed into something that is uniform across models of the Samsung Galaxy S3 in other markets around the world. If you are a developer for the Android platform, what would you do with the additional 1GB RAM on the Galaxy S3? [Japanese Link]
