UbisoftIf you’ve enjoyed the recent release of The Avengers movie, you might be interested to learn that a tie-in game could be in the works. Given the hype and the big names in the movie, we guess a tie-in game was to be expected. So, who will be the one responsible for putting the game together? Well based on some Marvel games released in the past, companies like Sega or THQ come to mind but it seems that in this case, the privilege goes to Ubisoft. This is thanks to the recent domain registration for avengersbattleforearth.com which also pops up on Ubisoft’s own nameservers. Safe to say, The Avengers: Battle for Earth would most likely be the name of the game upon its release. Details of the game remain pretty much zilch at this point in time and a release date is pretty much up in the air as well, but hopefully the game will be following in the footsteps of Ubisoft Montreal’s release of other movie tie-ins like Scott Pilgrim and 2007’s TMNT for the Gameboy Advance. I don’t know about you, but I thought the movie was pretty awesome and a tie-in game should (on paper) be pretty fun as well. Be sure to check back with us at a later date for more updates.
