Famed iOS hacker/jailbreaker pod2g has kept us updated with him and his team’s progress for the iOS 5.1.1 untethered jailbreak. Supposedly the jailbreak will be ready in a matter of days and the Chronic Dev Team is expected to announce it at the Hack in the Box convention which will be taking place this week. The name of the upcoming jailbreak will be known as Absinthe 2.0, and pod2g has confirmed the iOS devices that the jailbreak will work on. This includes the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4 CDMA, iPhone 4S, iPad, iPad 2 WiFi, iPad 2 GSM, iPad 2 CDMA, iPad 3 WiFi, iPad 3 CDMA, iPod 3G and the iPod 4G. Basically it’s almost every iOS device out there save for the Apple TV.
