Apple logoApple is famous for their huge campus, and this time around, we have word that they have just purchases huge tracts of land in Austin, Texas. This would place the Cupertino-based company in good stead towards fulfilling their promise of offering up to 3,600 new jobs in the Austin area, while investing over $300 million in the vicinity to boot.

If one were to go through records over at the Travis County Clerk’s Office, it would point out that McShane Development Co. LLC, via its Riata Vista LP entity, actually disposed off a trio of tracts of land to Apple on June 21st. The land in question would be in the Milwood Section 20 subdivision that is located near Parmer Lane and Delcour Drive. It would be interesting to see what kind of goodies Austin will churn out in the future for Apple. What do you think Apple has in mind after deciding to invest more than $0.3 billion of their cash in hand in Texas?

I guess we curious folks will just have to wait for job postings to be put up before continuing with our speculation.
