As some of you guys are no doubt aware by now, the trial between both Apple and Samsung in the US has officially begun. However it seems that Samsung might have gotten ahead of itself and has since released a piece of excluded evidence to the media which they claim “would have established beyond doubt that Samsung did not copy the iPhone design.” This apparently went against Judge Lucy Koh’s orders which stated that they were not allowed to show excluded evidence as the jury were to arrive at a decision on the case based purely on the evidence alone. According to reports, the judge was “audibly irritated” when she found out and has since told Samsung to file a brief to explain who drafted the statement released to the press, and more importantly, who authorized it.
