Angry Birds Star Wars On Facebook

Rovio’s critically acclaimed Angry Birds Star Wars game has now made its way to the world’s most popular social network – Facebook, and you can be sure that it will not be a lazy port, but rather, you can check out new power-ups, tournaments, and full social integration, now how about that? Petri Järvilehto, EVP of Games at Rovio, has described it as delivering the Angry Birds Star Wars game to the next level in terms of fun and performance, and “You get the great Angry Birds Star Wars gameplay for free, plus you can compete against your friends to see who is the ultimate bird-flinger and Jedi Master.”

There will be five new levels introduced each week, meaning fans will always have new challenges to look forward to, allowing them to demonstrate their Jedi skills. A trio of exclusive new power-ups are also on this Facebook version, and they are the Blaster Droid, Saber Sling, and Thermal Detonator. We still await with bated breath for an Angry Birds Star Trek version.
