Has the news of Disney purchasing Lucasfilm sunk in yet after all these months? Well, we do know that Star Wars 7 has been speculated to arrive sometime in 2015, and word has it that JJ Abrams will be the director. The House of Mouse will most probably see plenty of box office receipts coming their way, despite the fact that JJ Abrams himself did stress his commitment to Star Trek recently, but I guess things do change from time to time, including feelings, no?

JJ Abrams mentioned in the past, “There were the very early conversations and I quickly said that because of my loyalty to Star Trek, and also just being a fan [of Star Wars], I wouldn’t even want to be involved in the next version of those things. I declined any involvement very early on. I’d rather be in the audience not knowing what was coming, rather than being involved in the minutiae of making them.”

Well, we hope that Toy Story 3 screenwriter Michael Arndt would do a good job with Star Wars Episode 7, and perhaps with Mickey Mouse being the new Emperor of the galaxy, we might see the Sith team up with the Borg, as Vader and his cohorts beam down onto the Enterprise which has crash landed on Coruscant. Ouch, my head.
