Casio has officially opened pre-orders in the United States for its latest collaboration with the Star Wars franchise, featuring two new timepieces inspired by The Mandalorian. This release precedes the upcoming franchise film scheduled for May 22, offering fans thematic designs across the G-Shock and Baby-G lines.
The Mandalorian G-Shock (GM2100-1ASW)
The flagship of the collection is the GM2100-1ASW, priced at $220. This model utilizes the popular “CasiOak” octagonal silhouette, distinguished by a stainless-steel bezel with a finish inspired by Beskar steel, the legendary alloy used by Mandalorian warriors.
Technical Specifications:
-
Dimensions: 49.3 × 44.4 × 11.8 mm
-
Weight: 72 grams
-
Durability: 200-meter water resistance and signature G-Shock shock resistance.
-
Power: Approximately three years of battery life via dual SR726W cells.
The watch maintains the standard GM-2100 feature set, including world time for 31 zones, a 1/100-second stopwatch, a countdown timer, and five daily alarms. For legibility, it incorporates a double LED backlight and a hand-shift feature that moves the analog hands out of the way of the digital display. A unique inclusion with this model is a foldable “Bounty Hunter ID” card, which uses integrated magnets to transform into a dedicated display stand.
The Grogu Baby-G (BA-110)
Complementing the Mandalorian model is a secondary watch based on the Baby-G BA-110 platform. Priced at $130, this version features a color palette and design elements centered on the character Grogu. Like its larger counterpart, it offers robust durability and standard digital-analog functionality in a more compact form factor.
This collaboration highlights Casio’s strategy of merging established hardware platforms with popular culture intellectual properties. While the internal specifications remain identical to the base GM-2100 and BA-110 models, the value proposition lies in the custom aesthetics, specialized packaging, and collectible accessories. Both models are currently available for pre-order through official channels as the May film release approaches.
