If you’re a Windows Phone user and WhatsApp is your main messenger of choice when it comes to communicating with friends and family, you might want to head on over to the Windows Phone Store because it looks like an update for the app is currently available. If you’re thinking that this is just some minor update that you plan on skipping, think again because it seems that this is a pretty major update. This update will bump WhatsApp up to version 2.9.2 and will introduce a host of new features. This includes lock screen notification support, new Tile design that blends better with the Metro interface, a backup function, the ability to hit “enter” as send, mass messaging, new attachment screen as well as some UI layout changes. Sounds like a pretty feature packed update, so you might want to head on over to the Store to get your hands on it.
