It looks as though Sony isn’t the only company that is allowing its customers the ability to watch players stream their games online when they announced PlayStation 4 would be using Ustream when it’s released later this year as Microsoft is making a similar announcement today as Twitch will now be available in app form on the Xbox 360.

The Twitch Xbox 360 application will give Xbox LIVE Gold subscribers in the U.S. access to 300 of the most popular streams on the service with users able to view top channels based on popularity or by an individual game. Not only that, but the Twitch app’s dashboard will also feature curated channels, tournaments and shows currently streaming.

Today’s launch of Twitch on Xbox 360 will make way to an exclusive broadcast following next week’s Xbox Revealed event moderated by Larry Hyrb, a.k.a Major Nelson live at 3 P.M. ET. The broadcast will be viewable through the Twitch application as well as on Twitch’s website. Considering a new Xbox will be unveiled next week, we’re sure the exclusive Twitch broadcast will answer a number of questions we’re sure to have after the unveiling.
