It was just yesterday when we talked about how Amazon has already positioned Microsoft’s recently introduced Xbox One to be released to the masses this coming November 27th in their pre-order listing (the pre-orders have been record breaking to say the least), but apparently, you might want to make changes to your calendar since November 27th does not seem to be the official release date according to Microsoft’s statement where they refuted such a rumor.
A Microsoft spokesperson was quoted to have said, “We have not informed our retail partners about a specific launch date for the Xbox One. It is commonplace for retailers to put placeholders dates and prices into our system until they are given a specific date and price. We are excited to release the Xbox One in November 2013.”
Chances are the Xbox One’s November 27th release date that was set by Amazon was just a placeholder.
