The HTC One using the Google Camera App

Android 4.3 Jelly Bean has been an update many Android users have been waiting a long time for, and it looks like the wait for its actual release may not be too far as not only did we recently see a ROM for the Galaxy S4 Google Play Edition become available online, but we’re now hearing the Android update has been spotted running on the HTC One Google Play Edition.

The Android 4.3 Jelly Bean sighting was uncovered through an application for the HTC One Google Play Edition which listed Android 4.3 as its operating system. The application was submitted on June 18 and approved on July 5, which revealed the device’s Bluetooth certification as well as its design name of PN071xx_Android 4.3_G.

The second round of Bluetooth certification could be attributed to the inclusion of Android 4.3 on the HTC One Google Play Edition, which will add Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy support. Bluetooth 4.0 LE will allow for devices to sync with a number of accessories, such as heart rate monitors and other fitness monitors, as well as offer an easier experience in setting up and managing connected devices.
