700-1-nokia_lumia_625_groupLast week thanks to a sighting on a Chinese website, a certain Nokia Lumia 625 was spotted with a 4.7” display, making it the first Lumia phone with a display larger than 4.5”. Well the good news is that if you were eager to see what the handset would offer, Nokia has officially announced the handset themselves and have confirmed that the device will come with 4.7” display, albeit with a 480×800 resolution which we have to admit is somewhat disappointing at 201ppi, although it does offer some features such super-sensitive touch that basically allows the operation of the handset even whilst wearing gloves.

The Lumia 625 is also expected to pack a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor which is nothing to shout about, although it should get the job done and the Windows Phone operating system is pretty smooth to begin with. It will also come with a meager 512MB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, LTE connectivity (which is a plus), and a 5MP rear-facing camera with a VGA front-facing camera. According to Nokia’s press release, the handset is expected to be priced at €220 and will be available in China, Europe, Asia Pacific, India, Middle East, Africa and Latin America in Q3 2013 with no mention of North American markets, but we’ll keep our eyes peeled anyway for more information regarding a stateside release.
