It was back in August when we first heard that Infinity Blade III, the third title in this popular series, was already under development. At Apple’s iPhone launch event on September 10th, the game was unveiled for the first time. Infinity Blade III was shown off during Apple’s keynote by ChAIR Entertainment’s creative director and founder Donald Mustard, who said that the game takes full advantage of the new 64-bit processor in the iPhone 5s. Even though it is compatible older iOS devices as well, Infinity Blade III has been specifically optimized for iPhone 5s.
Infinity Blade III includes two playable characters, the usual hero called Siris and a new female warrior called Isa. Players will also be able to unlock new heroes to aid the primary hero. The stunning graphics were detailed during the unveiling last week, Mustard revealed that the game has depth of field, blur and full-screen vignettes, and lens flares “that would make JJ Abrams proud.” It was announced at the event that the game will be released on September 18th, the same day Apple releases iOS 7. Available now from the iTunes App Store, Infinity Blade III costs $6.99. Its a 1.4 GB download, so make sure you have ample space on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch before purchasing the game.RELATED
