LG-infographic-lr2We all use our phones differently and we all have times and places where we might feel it would be inappropriate to use our phones, but given how dependent we are these days on our devices, thanks to social media and the ability to be constantly connected to all sorts of things, can we really be blamed? Well LG has recently released an infographic in which it reveals how Americans use their smartphones. The survey was conducted and saw 1,152 Americans aged 18 or older participating in it.

According to James Fishler, LG USA’s senior VP of marketing, “Smartphones have quickly become the modern day tool that most of us just can’t live without. With major advances in mobile technology in recent years, smartphones have gone beyond their original intent as a primary communication tool to become true life companions for everything from social situations to our most personal moments.” The infographic is rather interesting as it shows stats such as how 48% of those surveyed have no qualms about using it in a place of worship, and that a staggering 77% would use it in while in bed with another person.

It was also found that 36% used their phones to take “selfies” to see how they look like, while 33% have used it to pretend to look busy while alone at a bar or restaurant, and thankfully there are those who are more socially aware as only 28% have used their phones whilst on a date. You can check out the rest of the stats above, but what do you guys think?
