asus-padfone6A company like ASUS might not be on the same page as that with the likes of Samsung when it comes to the sheer number of consumer electronic devices released to the masses every single year, but this does not mean that they are not doing anything about the situation, either. In fact, ASUS CEO Jerry Shen did share before on how he wished to bring the keyboard dock back to the PadFone range, which would translate to three different form factors with a single device – a smartphone, a tablet, and a notebook. The latest leak shows that something in the same vein is in the pipeline, thanks to an FCC document discovered by folks over at Mobile Geeks.

In the leaked FCC document, it does seem as though we have come face to face with something that is known as an “ASUS Mobile Dock Keyboard” (also known as the PF-06 or “TransBoard”) which will rely on Bluetooth connectivity instead of a physical docking interface. This is definitely a welcome change from the usual, but then again with Bluetooth connectivity, it would translate to a lower battery life, no matter how much you have already worked on optimizing the entire device. Ah well, only time will be able to tell us more about the ASUS Mobile Dock Keyboard.
