Asus has launched the Vivobook 16 Ryzen Edition (2026), expanding its portfolio of productivity-focused laptops. Priced at 5,999 yuan (~$894), the machine balances high-efficiency computing with general office and everyday multitasking workflows.
The notebook is constructed from an all-metal chassis measuring 15.9mm thin and weighing 1.69kg. Built to meet MIL-STD-810H durability standards, it incorporates a lay-flat 180-degree hinge. The display features a 16-inch 2.5K panel equipped with a 144Hz refresh rate, which dynamically scales down to 30Hz to extend battery longevity. The screen covers 100% sRGB, hits 400 nits of peak brightness, and includes a specialized grayscale e-book mode designed to reduce eye strain during prolonged reading.
Internal performance is driven by the AMD Ryzen 7 H 260 processor, built on TSMC’s 4nm Zen 4 architecture. Featuring 8 cores and 16 threads, the chip reaches a maximum boost clock of 5.1GHz while sustaining a 45W TDP under system cooling presets. Graphics are handled by an integrated AMD Radeon 780M GPU utilizing RDNA 3 architecture with dedicated AV1 hardware encoding. The integrated Ryzen AI hardware delivers up to 38 TOPS of aggregate processing power to accelerate on-device artificial intelligence tasks.
Base configurations offer 16GB LPDDR5 RAM alongside a 512GB PCIe SSD. Storage flexibility is supported by two M.2 SSD slots, enabling users to scale internal storage up to 4TB. Connectivity includes dual full-featured USB-C 3.2 ports supporting display output and Power Delivery, two USB-A 3.2 connections, an HDMI 2.1 port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
A 70Wh battery provides operational uptime and accepts wide-voltage USB-C charging (5V to 20V), allowing power replenishment via external power banks. The interface includes a full-sized backlit keyboard, numeric pad, a 7.1-inch touchpad, and an infrared webcam compatible with Windows Hello and Windows Studio Effects.
