hondajetWe do know that the prototype model of the HondaJet has moved from testing to production a couple of years ago, not to mention having completed its maiden flight prior to that, but since then, what are the developments from this possible uber ride for the rich and famous? Well, the Honda Aircraft Company has just revealed the first production HondaJet to the masses today, where it is also ready for further ground tests, not to mention boasting of a new paint scheme, which comprises of a deep pearl green with a gold stripe.

Honda Aircraft Company President and CEO Michimasa Fujino, shared, “Honda Aircraft Company’s most important goals are achieving Federal Aviation Administration Type Certification and delivering the first customer aircraft. Our total effort is focused on reaching these much anticipated milestones in the first quarter of 2015.”

The first production aircraft is currently in its final assembly, where the very first set of production GE Honda HF120 engines was delivered to Honda Aircraft not too long ago. With the delivered engines installed, ground tests on the airplane will be conducted soon, with its first flight touted to happen later this summer. Will the business people, royalty, tycoons and celebrities alike be in line for the HondaJet when it is commercially available? Only time will be able to tell. [Press Release]
