moto x plus 1

Is the Motorola Moto X+1 device actually real? In the past we have heard rumors about how the handset will be the successor to 2013’s Moto X, and it wasn’t too long ago that the Moto X+1 name was spotted on Motorola’s MotoMaker website. Well now it looks like the handset has made another appearance, except that this time it has popped up on Motorola’s official website(link could soon be taken down).

According to the page, it listed the Moto X+1 for AT&T, although we should note that the image and the price displayed on the page are most probably placeholders until the official device has been unveiled. We have no idea as to what the Moto X+1 could look like, but hopefully Motorola will be giving it a design refresh.

The hardware specs of the Moto X+1 also remain something of a mystery. Back in 2013 when Motorola announced the Moto X, they chose to go with mid-range specs which was surprising. They made up for it by packing the phone with unique features and customization options, but other than that it wasn’t exactly the most powerful handset.

Will this mid-range trend continue? Well it remains to be seen, but interestingly enough some new customizability options for the Moto X+1 will include leather finishes, alongside more “normal” color finishes and the wooden backplate option as well.
