xiaomi-overtakesXiaomi of China has slowly but surely gaining its market share over in its home country through the steady release of quality handsets that have a sticker price tag that do not break the bank. Over time, it seems that this particular strategy has worked successfully, as Xiaomi is now said to hold a larger sway of the China market share compared to even Apple.

In fact, Xiaomi is now on its way to take over 11% of the total market share when it comes to the number sold in China, whereas its closest rival at this point in time, Apple, makes up around 10% of the number of smartphones sold. Samsung and Lenovo remain right in front, with 18% and 12% market share, respectively, although it does seem as though Xiaomi is about to overtake Lenovo pretty soon.

Not only that, Xiaomi is well on its way to expand their business all the more in the immediate future, since they will be entering new markets in Asia such as Indonesia, Singapore, and Malaysia. Should the company be able to continue with their strategy of delivering quality Android-powered hardware at pocket friendly prices, then do expect to see them go through another exponential period of growth.
