Xiaomi has officially launched the Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max, introducing massive silicon-carbon batteries and dual 200 MP Leica cameras.
Both smartphones feature metal frames with an IP69 rating for superior water and dust resistance, alongside a dedicated AI side key.
- Primary Screens: The standard Pro carries a 6.4-inch LTPO AMOLED display, while the Pro Max features a 6.9-inch panel. Both deliver a 120 Hz refresh rate, 2K resolution, 4,000 nits peak brightness, an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, and an integrated privacy filter.
- Secondary Screens: Positioned inside the rear camera module, the rear displays measure 2.7 inches on the Pro and 2.9 inches on the Pro Max, supporting notifications, photo previews, and custom AI widgets.
Xiaomi 18 Pro Transparent Edition
The devices debut Qualcomm’s 2 nm platforms: the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 powers the Pro, while the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 drives the Pro Max at clock speeds up to 5.0 GHz. Cooling is managed by a 50% larger vapor chamber. Memory configurations offer up to 16 GB RAM and 1 TB storage. The Pro carries a 7,000 mAh battery, whereas the Pro Max packs an 8,500 mAh battery, both supporting 100W wired and 50W wireless charging.
Leica Camera Setup and Software
The rear Leica camera array includes a 200 MP primary sensor (1/1.28-inch, f/1.67, OIS), a 200 MP periscope telephoto lens (1/1.56-inch, 3.2x optical zoom), and a 50 MP ultrawide sensor. Selfies are handled by a 50 MP front camera. The phones run HyperOS 4 based on Android 17. A special transparent edition with red accents is also available.
