halo-2-anniversary

You can’t hold it against Microsoft of getting the most it can out of the Halo franchise. Its extremely popular on the company’s gaming platforms and with new releases expected in the near future, some might think that there’s enough of Halo on Microsoft’s plate right now. But it seems like a new Halo game is in the pipeline, at least that’s the impression one gets from a new job posting by Microsoft for 343 Industries. Its a game developer that was established in 2007 by Microsoft to oversee the development of the Halo franchise.

The folks at Redmond are seeking a Publishing Senior Producer who will be tasked with taking care of a “new project line” in the Halo universe. It might mean that a new Halo game might come out of this.

The resource would be required to work with internal and external teams, so its possible that this project might be executed with help with an external developer, one or more. Though it is too soon to say at this point in time if it will be a first party or third party studio.

It will be expected of the resource to ensure that this game “hits the quality expected of a title within the Halo Franchise.” Consider this with the talk of a new project line and it does seem like a new Halo game might be on the cards.

For now though, look out for Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Halo 5: Guardians, they’ll keep you pretty busy until Microsoft has something new to show us.
