Due to the fact that there are many players in an MMORPG, it is understandable why developers are keen to introduce, and think that it is necessary to introduce social-like emotes. For example you could /bow to players, or /kiss them, or as we have come to know and love, /dance in games like Blizzard’s World of Warcraft.

Interestingly enough it looks like Blizzard has decided that dancing is a feature that should make its way into Diablo 3. It was spotted in Patch 2.1 which is currently undergoing testing in the PTR. Like we said, it’s a bit weird that Blizzard would introduce such a frivolous emote in a game like Diablo 3.

Unlike MMOs, Diablo 3 is very fast paced and usually involves players doing a lot of clicking and pressing of buttons until they stop, so we have to wonder when will players find time to /dance with each other. This is versus MMOs where players can gather in a hall or a city and just hang out and interact with one another, but hey, it’s still a new feature and we can’t really complain.

Naturally each class will have a different style of dance, and it will also be different depending on the gender you chose. The animation looks pretty good and it appears to be very fluid, so if you have a few minutes to spare, you can check it out in the video above. So, what do you guys think?
