Fierce 2 FrontT-Mobile, the Un-carrier, has made the headlines yet again by announcing the launch of a couple of new smartphones that will arrive later this fall from the folks over at Alcatel. Basically, the Alcatel Onetouch Fierce 2 and Evolve 2 will be making their way over the T-Mobile and MetroPCS, where both of these devices were specially designed for folks who want to get the best bang for their hard earned buck, all without having to subject themselves to the whims and fancies of a lousy phone network. That rules out flagships like the LG G3 and Galaxy S5.

From September 10th onwards, you can pick up the Alcatel Onetouch Fierce 2 for $0 down over at T-Mobile, before settling for a monthly $5.25 fee for twenty-four months on the Equipment Installment Plan (EIP). The Fierce 2 might be extremely affordable, but this does not mean it is unable to deliver a worthy performance as this 4G-enabled device sports a quad-core 1.2GHz processor, and a 5” qHD display.

Those who are on the lookout for an entry level device will be able to check out the Alcatel Onetouch Evolve 2, where it too, will arrive on T-Mobile on the same day for $3.30 a month for twenty-four months on EIP. This is a 3G device that comes with the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system, has a 4” WVGA touchscreen display and a 5MP camera. Any takers? [Press Release]
