vivo-x5-maxThin is in – this is undeniable, ranging from LG’s move to deliver a near bezel-less experience where smartphones are concerned, not to mention the race being on when it comes to the world’s slimmest or thinnest smartphone. As though all of the #bendgate controversies are not enough, along comes the Vivo X5 Max which intends to claim the mantle of the world’s thinnest smartphone from the Oppo R5, which measures in at 4.85 mm. The Vivo X5 Max happens to measure all of just 4.75 mm thin, and it does share a very close resemblance to that of the Vivo X5 – obviously, as one can tell from its name alone.

The entire dimensions of the smartphone currently stands at 153.9mm x 78mm x 4.75mm. Chances are this was the rumored handset from Vivo that made news rounds some time last week, although the 3.8mm thickness mentioned back then was probably a figure that was pulled from the sky. As for its hardware specifications, do expect the Vivo X5 Max to be powered by Android 4.4.4 KitKat, where it will be accompanied by a 5.5” display at Full HD resolution, LTE support, a 13MP camera at the back, a 5MP camera in front, 2GB RAM, and an octa-core 1.7GHz processor which in all probability, will hail from the folks over at MediaTek.

Pricing and availability details remain to be determined as at press time, so stay tuned!
