galaxy-grand-maxSamsung has just announced the expansion of their Galaxy Grand family of smartphones, calling it the Galaxy Grand Max. Close to the end of last year, what was deemed to be the Galaxy Grand Max was spotted, and here we are with an official release of said smartphone. Of course, the Samsung Galaxy Grand Max would be revealed in South Korea first, where it is meant to be already available for purchase at $290 a pop after conversion, of course.

This particular smartphone will be powered by Android 4.4 KitKat right out of the box, and we have absolutely no doubt whatsoever that it will be on the receiving end of Android 5.0 Lollipop in due time. Other hardware specifications of the Galaxy Grand Max include a decent 5.25” display at 720 x 1280 pixels resolution, a quad-core 1.2GHz processor (a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410, perhaps?), a 13MP shooter with LED flash at the back, a front-facing 5MP camera with a wide 120-degree viewing angle that is ideal for not only selfies but wefies as well, LTE Cat. 4, 1.5GB RAM, 16GB of internal memory, and a microSD memory card for expansion purposes.

As to whether the Galaxy Grand Max will be sold in markets outside of South Korea, that remains to be seen, but it should be a matter of time before a confirmation or denial comes about.
