And for the very first time in the world, here we are with word that the capacity for a microSD memory card has just expanded, thanks to the folks over at SanDisk. Basically, we are talking about a fingernail-sized memory card being able to hold up to 20 hours of Full High Definition video, now how about that? A whopping 200GB is certainly out of this world, that is for sure – and you would do well to find new backup drives if you are about to fill up this microSD card regularly to the brim.

The 200GB SanDisk Ultra microSDXC UHS-I card Premium Edition would hold the distinction of being the world’s highest capacity microSD card that will see action in mobile devices. This is an interesting development, where it comes about a single year after introducing its record-breaking 128GB SanDisk Ultra microSDXC card, which means the amount of sorage capacity has increased by 56% within a similar form factor. I suppose smartphone users would be more than happy with this microSD card, but unless you get organized, you sure as heck will have a hard time trying to sort things out when it is full.

This Premium Edition microSD memory card is ideal for Android smartphone and tablet users, where it has a fast transfer speed of up to 90MB/s in order to deliver premium performance. We are looking at transferring up to 1,200 photos per minute. Each purchase will come with a ten-year limited warranty – and do expect to pay top dollar for it with an asking price of $399.99 as it arrives later in Q2 this year around the world.
