facebook-photo-stickersOne of the features of Snapchat is the ability to overlay your photos with other graphics and text, giving your friends a more interesting and potentially more entertaining photo to look at. Given that Facebook had failed to acquire Snapchat, it doesn’t really come as a surprise that they’re now trying to emulate some of its features.

According to TechCrunch, it has been reported that some users are seeing some changes made to their Facebook iOS app, in which when they try to upload a photo, they now get the option of adding text overlays, Snapchat-like filters, and even stickers that you can add to your photos before you upload them.

If this sounds familiar, it is because Facebook already has something similar called Stickered for Messenger where users can snap photos, put text overlays on them, and add Facebook stickers for a more interesting effect. However the main difference here is that this feature is integrated into Facebook itself as opposed to having to rely on a standalone app.

As it stands it seems to be only available to iOS users at the moment and not every iOS user is seeing it as well, but given that Facebook is testing out the feature we suppose only a select handful of users are seeing it. It is unclear if Facebook will keep to it or ditch it at a later point in time, but we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled all the same.
