heroes of the storm eternal conflictAs you might have heard, Blizzard has announced the first major content update for Heroes of the Storm dubbed Eternal Conflict. The update to the game is expected to be pushed out come 30th of June which is next week, but in case you couldn’t wait and want to take it for a spin right now, you will be pleased to learn that you can.

It seems that Blizzard has included Eternal Conflict on the game’s Public Test Realm meaning that gamers will be able to test it out ahead of the release. It should be pointed out that progress made on the PTR won’t transfer over to the main game and like the name suggests, this is where Blizzard typically tests out new content before releasing it en masse.

This helps the developer iron out any bugs as well as get valuable feedback from players as to what might work and what doesn’t. As for players, they basically get to try out new features and gain some experience which is especially true for World of Warcraft where guilds try to hone their raid compositions and strategies before it opens up to the public.

Eternal Conflict will be a Diablo-focused update which will introduce a new battleground with its own mechanics, as well as a trio of heroes from the Diablo universe, along with new skins and mounts that players can purchase in the game.
