If the rumors are any accurate, it would seem that the next-gen iPhone will probably come with Force Touch technology embedded into it. Right now it’s pretty much anyone’s guess as to how the feature will act on the phone, but thanks to Maximilian Kiener, he has put together a concept video showing what the feature could be like.

For example in the video above, he envisions how Force Touch could be used to bring up the settings menu, like in Control Center there are several toggles you can make, but what if you wanted more? There is no shortcut to the Settings app via Control Center, but by using Force Touch (pressing down harder and holding), it can launch the Settings menu for the corresponding feature.

Say you want to switch WiFi networks, so pressing down on the WiFi toggle will bring up the WiFi settings menu and you can make your adjustments from there. We have to admit that this is a pretty clever idea but given that it is merely a concept, there’s really no telling if Apple will bring such a feature to the next-gen iPhone.

That being said, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo did state previously that Force Touch on the iPhone will be different from that of the Apple Watch or even the MacBook, where instead of detecting pressure, it will instead looking at the contact area on which the finger touches the screen to determine its pressure, but as always be sure to take it with a grain of salt for now.
