Windows_10According to a recent survey, it has been found that the majority of Windows 10 users are pretty pleased with the operating system. That being said if you do use torrents, there is a good chance that your torrent tracker could have banned Windows 10. This is according to a report from TorrentFreak who reports that due to privacy concerns, there are some torrent trackers out there who have banned the OS.

One of those trackers is iTS in which they write, “Unfortunately Microsoft decided to revoke any kind of data protection and submit whatever they can gather to not only themselves but also others. One of those is one of the largest anti-piracy company called MarkMonitor. Amongst other things Windows 10 sends the contents of your local disks directly to one of their servers. Obviously this goes way too far and is a serious threat to sites like ours which is why we had to take measures.”

For those who are unfamiliar, Microsoft has recently updated its EULA and while such updates do happen from time to time, the latest update seems to suggest that the company is able to constantly monitor your computer for potential pirated apps and can even disable them. Granted piracy is wrong to begin with, but it’s easy to understand why some are feeling like that this is an invasion of their privacy.

In any case other torrent trackers such as BB and FSC are also reported to be considering a similar ban as iTS, so just in case you use any of these trackers and you have Windows 10 installed, you might want to take note of that.
