motox-pure-editionAs you might have heard a couple of weeks ago, Verizon and Motorola will be unveiling new phones on the 27th of October. Right now while it has yet to be confirmed, the phones released are expected to be the Droid Turbo 2 and the Droid MAXX 2. However according to the folks at Droid-Life, there might be more than a phone announcement.

According to the publication, they have heard from their sources that Verizon and Motorola could announce a new add-on service called Design Refresh. Basically what it does is that it allows customers to refresh the design of their phone at least once. So if you don’t like the design of your phone and want to re-customize it via Moto Maker, then this program is for you.

However the add-on will need to be purchased before the end of the year for it to be valid. Unfortunately pricing of the add-on was not mentioned, but like we said if you like the idea of being able to change the look of your phone, then this might be of interest to you. Presumably you will have to send your phone in to get it customized and shipped back to you.

In any case take it with a grain of salt for now, but Verizon and Motorola’s event is only a couple of days away so we guess we will find out soon. In the meantime does this sound like a service you might be interested in subscribing to?
