Minecraft is an amazing game in the sense that you can do so much with it, so much so that there are classes on the game to teach children the educational value of it. Heck, we wouldn’t be surprised if Minecraft could also one day be used to teach students about city planning because from what we can tell, it looks like it would make a great tool.

Recently fans of GTA 5 have started recreating the game’s entire map inside Minecraft. No, we’re not talking about some small scaled-down version of GTA 5, but rather the entire city in a 1:1 recreation. Safe to say that this is a huge project and the team has been working on it for the past year.

The project kicked off in January, 2015 and it looks like they’re not even done yet. However from what we can tell, it looks pretty amazing and if you have played GTA 5, then you will recognize certain areas that have been painstakingly put together to resemble the game, albeit in a slightly blockier version.

Its creators expect that the end result will be a recreation of 7,500 by 7,500 blocks. If you’d like to check out their progress, you can hop on over to N11cK’s YouTube page to see the rest of the videos, or watch the one above to get a quick idea of what they’ve been working on.
