Ideapad_MIIX_700_Gold_03[CES 2016] When it comes to hybrid devices like laptop/tablets, there are plenty of options in the market with Microsoft’s Surface series probably being one of the more prominent and mainstream options. However if you think that Microsoft’s solutions don’t meet your business needs, Lenovo might have something for you.

The company has recently announced the MIIX 700 Business Edition. As the name implies, this is an enterprise alternative to the Lenovo MIIX 700 that was actually announced last year in September. In terms of hardware it is identical to the MIIX 700 consumer edition, but the difference is that it will feature enterprise-level security thanks to a built-in TPM chipset.

For those unfamiliar with TPM chipsets, it is a secure cryptoprocessor that helps to secure devices, like the MIIX 700 Business Edition, by integrating cryptographic keys into the device itself. But like we said apart from the added security, the hardware of the Business Edition seems to be similar to the consumer version.

This means can expect up to an Intel Core m7 vPro processor, 8GB of RAM, 256GB of SSD storage, and a 12-inch display that can alternate between a Full HD and a 2,160×1,440 resolution. Pricing has not been revealed as this will only be available via special order starting February 2016.
