facebook-live-android-screenEarlier this month, Facebook announced that they were opening up its Live platform to everyone around the world. There was a catch and that was that the feature is only available on iOS devices, at least at that time. As for Android users, Facebook did state that it would be coming to their platform soon.

The good news is that the wait is over. Facebook has recently announced that Live is now available to Android users as well. However once again there is a small catch and that is Live for Android will only be available for users in the US, but as Facebook stated, they do have plans to start rolling out on a wider scale soon.

According to Facebook, “We’re excited to announce that in the next week we are going to start rolling out the ability for people on Android to share live video. We’re starting our Android rollout in the U.S., with more countries coming soon.” However that’s not all. In addition to the Android rollout, Facebook has also announced that the iOS feature is rolling out to additional countries.

“Last month, we announced that we planned to start bringing the ability to broadcast live to countries around the world, and now people in more than 30 countries can share live video via iOS. We’ll continue to roll this out to more people as well as Pages in countries around the world in the coming weeks.” So if you did not have the feature before, do check your phones, maybe you will see it enabled now.
